Business Breakthrough at Willoughby City Council

I’m still reflecting on the incredible energy and outcomes from the Business Breakthrough: Planning for Your Success program delivered with Willoughby City Council in October–November 2025.

Sixteen local small business owners committed to four weeks of learning, reflection and action — and the results were genuinely inspiring.

Participants didn’t just walk away with a personalised business plan. They gained:

• a much clearer vision for where their business is heading

• a deeper understanding of cash flow, pricing and financial decision-making

• practical ways to use AI tools in their day-to-day business

• renewed confidence in their marketing, positioning and customer service

• greater clarity around time management, strengths, weaknesses and operations

One of the most powerful outcomes, though, was the connection.

Business owners learned alongside peers, shared challenges openly, and supported one another generously. Those relationships continued beyond the program, creating a strong sense of community and ongoing accountability.

Programs like this remind me that business growth isn’t just about strategy, it’s about people, clarity and having the right support at the right time.
